Sometimes it's helpful to attach an image to your post, e.g. to illustrate a problem or provide better help. Unfortunately, for storage capacity reasons and to avoid potential copyright infringements I decided against enabling image uploads to this forum.

Please follow these instructions to work around this limitation by using external hosting providers - some are completely free, others only have free trials:

You need to upload the image to some web space. Here are some examples to speed up your search, but I cannot judge on their service terms, data privacy policies, or reputation - you should do your own research before using them:

Once the image has been uploaded you need to copy its link, often called URL ("Uniform Resource Locator"). The exact steps vary between providers, but you should end up with a web address starting with "https://…" or "http://…" and pointing to your image. The URL can be easily verified by entering it into your browser, which should display the image.
Now use the edit controls to include an image into your post by clicking on the "image" icon, paste or enter the copied link, provide an optional title and confirm the dialog by clicking "Insert".
The image will be added to your post at the current cursor position.
