ghostzicht StitchBuddy supports trim commands before jump stitches only for DST files (and only by preserving these during modifications) - frankly because I just recently learned how to code a trim command for DST files; commands for other files formats are still unknown to me.
Specifically, I'm not aware of any command in PES designs to cut a thread, but to my knowledge Brother machines are deciding based on the length of jump stitches if trimming is appropriate (link to Brother support article). But I'm happy to add this capability if someone can provide the information how to code a trim command in PES files…
So for now your best bet is a machine setting to automatically trim jump stitches exceeding a defined length (some embroidery machines have such an option), or to trim manually in the meantime.
